Book Review: Mall Fairies Exile by Conda V. Douglas

(The Mall Fairies: Book One)
BLURB

Swoop the fairy lives in the attic of a shopping mall and loves it. She’s terrified of Outside, where fairies can die. But when Swoop finds her best friend One Wing in the company of a human, she determines she’ll do anything to save him from being exiled Outside.

My Review

This story is told from two viewpoints: Grace, the human and Swoop, the fairy. I couldn't get into the human side of the story but I absolutely love the fairies. Swoop is a wonderfully flawed character. She generally means well, and yet somehow manages to make every situation she's involved in much worse than it would have been otherwise.

When her best friend breaks the First Rule, Never Reveal Yourself To A Human, Swoop sets out on a desperate mission to keep him from being exiled. But she soon discovers there are greater things at stake. Can she overcome her fears and do what it takes to save her fellow fairies, or will she fail and lose all she holds dear?

Mall Fairies Exile is a lovely story filled with adventure, danger, and excitement.  It will capture your imagination and hold you spellbound until the last turn of the page.
